Publisher's Description:

Cam Wizard - Cam Wizard turns any Windows PC and web cam into a powerful CCTV camera surveillance system with motion detection. it's the ultimate webcam security application. When Cam Wizard is running it constantly monitors your PC camera looking for any motion in user defined areas within the scene. When motion is detected, video capture begins.

Captured video can then be archived to your hard disk with space management. So you can allocate say 10GB, then older movies get deleted to maintain the disk usage.

You also have the ability to send captured movies to any email address, we recommend using a Gmail account for this purpose. We are especially proud of this feature as it is guaranteed to work out of the box thanks to new code including SMTP authentication and SSL encryption.

Cam Wizard movies contain a millisecond accurate time stamp and so are perfectly suitable for courtroom evidence purposes.

Why go to the bother and expense of purchasing a CCTV video surveillance system with motion detection when Cam Wizard can do it all for you! Never before has it been this easy to setup a high tech home security system. With Cam Wizard it's possible to set up a multiple camera video surveillance system in a matter of seconds, Cam Wizard spools captured footage straight to your hard drive or network drive. One hours worth of footage takes only ~12MB, so a 100gig hard drive has enough room for over a year of footage!

With it's audio alarm function Cam Wizard can alert you of detected motion with a siren like a car alarm or it can play any audio file (.mp3 or .wav), great for a shop counter monitor to alert staff of customers entering the premises.

Cam Wizard is also a flexible cam broadcasting tool featuring a robust FTP upload engine, so it can push live cam JPEGs onto a web server using standard FTP protocol.

Enough of the sales talk! We think you should check out this great application for yourself, download the fully featured trial version today.

I have tried many web cam security programs and Cam Wizard has all the features that lets you set up the program to do what you need it to do. I like the fact that captured video is stored on my drive and I can choose to upload, email or not. There are no hoops to jump through. So far my testing of this program is A+. I will probaly purchase this program.

Top notch product

I have tried numerous software to set a up a cctv system to protect my motorbike and I have been really impressed with this title. Does everything I need and most importantly has a very good motion detection system.

No Video

Hi After installing Cam Wizard I am having a problem getting video. Telling me no video signal. Have also tried windows movie maker with message no capture device detected. Still trying. The over all look of the program looks good and east to use.

Overall I like this app. It is powerful, allows you to customize thoroughly, and is fairly intuitive. It is, like most such apps for video, CPU intense so don't be expecting to do all
kinds of other things. I'm running an old box with an 800 Mhz chip and a crappy onboard
VGA video chip and it runs through :).

Some wish list items:

Disk management: While the app allows for a setting where a *max* amount of disk space to be met causes the deletion of, and then addition to, the files being saved, I want to be able to delete by *date* - i.e. time passed, delete files after 2 days, etc.

FTP: FTP is nice but it is becoming less common - and is none-existent in the Apple world - I want to be able to upload to a WebDAV (webfolder) address.

Motion Detection: I've seen better motion detection algorithms that test against decay, color shift and gray value shifts (the latter particularly useful in night time. While the "click" and drag dots and make a polygon thing is interesting it isn't all that helpful
making *multiple* zones of exclusion/inclusion for activity. (see CatSpy, for example of better algo's and zone setting). The problem I see here is that the detection filter doesn't look at the *overall* changes (number of pixels changing color) in the picture to detect
motion but, rather, in *one* area. This means that setting the filter means that motion has to take place in the *same* place repeatedly for it to not be a false positive (I think this is
right? I didn't "get" the Filter method used, still playing with it. )

Scheduling: I like the scheduling. Straight forward to do. To make this a "super app" combine scheduling with sensitivity - when there is less light there is more video noise and more chances of false positives being able to schedule the cam AND its sensitivity with
that schedule helps clean this up.

Archiving - OK, here's a beef: Why do I have to archive *both* video AND jpegs into the same folder? If I could have them in different folders, I could do a lot more with the program (at least with less fuss). I'd like to save, say, only the last five jpegs into a
webpage folder, which could alert me at work say, and then retain all the video in a separate folder which I could check later - the later, being the most space intensive, then could be under "disk management" to not overflow. The jpegs could be archived or replaced according to how many images you wanted to save, or for how long

Overall the interface is good. It's a little awkward in places - why have disk management under one tab but then have a Hardware Tab too? Secondly a tab named "Video" is more intuitively labeled "Image Management", "Recording" etc. maybe?

The help and hints are actually pretty good for an app of this cost and value. I've hunted high and low and this has been at the top of power, customizability and intuitiveness.
Nicely done.

Very nice !!!!

This is a very fine program. I've used it to tell if someone has been in my room, without my permission. (Some of my things has disappered, for the last 2 weeks, and I wanted to find out who was responsible for this) I am very surpriced how good this program works.

I haven't yet found out who's taking my stuff, but I am pretty sure that CAM Wizard will help me to find out.

This package is excellent. First time install and the system was up and running.

I highly recommend this to anyone that requires a simple but comprehnsive CCTV system. It is packed with all the features you require schedule, motion detection, hard drive or remote storage.

At this price it won't be beaten
